Red Mountain Mining Commences Metallurgical Testing of Antimony Samples from Oaky Creek
Testing Program Officially Launched
Red Mountain Mining has officially commenced a comprehensive metallurgical testing program on antimony-bearing samples collected from its Oaky Creek project. The initiative marks a critical step toward evaluating the technical and economic viability of antimony extraction, a metal gaining strategic importance due to its role in flame retardants, batteries, and defense-related applications.
Focus on Oaky Creek Antimony Mineralization
The samples originate from the Oaky Creek area, where previous exploration identified promising antimony mineralization associated with quartz–sulfide veins. Historical surface sampling and geological mapping have indicated favorable grades, prompting the company to advance into laboratory-based metallurgical assessment.
Objectives of the Metallurgical Tests
The metallurgical testing program aims to determine optimal processing routes, including crushing, grinding, flotation, and potential hydrometallurgical options. Key objectives include assessing antimony recovery rates, concentrate quality, and identifying any processing challenges that could impact downstream development decisions.

Strategic Importance of Antimony
Antimony is classified as a critical mineral in several jurisdictions due to supply concentration and rising global demand. By advancing metallurgical studies, Red Mountain Mining positions itself to potentially contribute to diversified antimony supply chains, supporting industrial, energy storage, and national security sectors amid tightening global markets.
Pathway Toward Project Advancement
Results from the metallurgical testing will feed into future scoping and economic studies for the Oaky Creek project. Positive outcomes could accelerate further drilling, resource definition, and preliminary development planning, reinforcing Red Mountain Mining’s broader strategy of advancing high-value critical mineral assets.
