Cartier Metallurgical Testwork Program is Underway at Cadillac

Launch of the Metallurgical Testwork Program

Cartier Resources has initiated a metallurgical testwork program for the Cadillac Project in Val-d’Or, Quebec. This marks a major technical step toward defining how the project’s gold ores behave during processing and how efficiently gold can be recovered.

 Details of the Samples Used

The program uses nearly 389 kg of drill-core samples collected mostly from drilling campaigns between 2017 and 2023. These samples represent three key deposits within the project: Chimo, East Chimo, and West Nordeau, giving a comprehensive view of ore variability across the property.

Planned Metallurgical Testing Methods

The testwork includes cyanidation tests at multiple grind sizes, gravity concentration, and cyanide destruction of tailings. Additional work involves comminution testing to understand grindability, alongside mineralogical and geochemical analyses to support accurate processing models.

Purpose and Expected Outcomes

The main objective is to establish reliable gold recovery rates and refine Cartier’s understanding of each deposit’s metallurgical performance. The results will help develop a complete process flowsheet and support future economic and technical evaluations.

Project Timeline and Future Work

Results from the metallurgical program are expected in Q1 2026. This effort is part of a larger multi-year plan that includes 100,000 meters of drilling, environmental baseline studies, and ongoing evaluation of historical Chimo Mine tailings.

Strategic Importance and Project Advancement

Conducting this testwork reduces project risk by determining real recovery potential and processing costs. Combined with aggressive drilling and positive exploration results, it positions Cartier to advance the Cadillac Project toward more advanced development stages.
