Pinnacle Silver & Gold delivers strong metallurgy data – ICYMI

Metallurgical Results

Pinnacle Silver & Gold has reported strong metallurgical test results from its flagship El Potrero Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico. The company achieved an impressive average gold recovery of 95.09% across three samples, with individual recoveries ranging from approximately 92.8% to 96.8%. Silver recoveries were lower, averaging 54.68%, indicating there is still room for improvement on that front.

Technical Details

The metallurgical tests were conducted using ball-mill grinding to 80% passing 53 microns, followed by bottle-roll cyanide leach testing. The samples were taken from the Pinos Cuates underground domain of the El Potrero deposit. These methods are standard for early-stage metallurgical assessment and help evaluate how effectively gold and silver can be recovered from the ore.

Company Commentary

Pinnacle’s management described the results as “extremely encouraging,” emphasizing that such high gold recoveries reduce technical risk and support stronger project economics. The company also noted that the silver recovery data provides valuable insight for refining processing techniques to optimize performance in future stages of development.

 Significance

High gold recovery rates are a key positive indicator for any mining project, as they suggest efficient extraction and lower processing costs per ounce. These results strengthen confidence in the El Potrero Project’s potential viability and demonstrate positive progress in de-risking one of the key technical aspects of the operation — metallurgy.

 Next Steps & Cautions

While the early results are promising, the company acknowledges that further metallurgical testing is required. The current data is preliminary, based on a small number of samples, and may not fully represent the entire ore body. Future work will focus on improving silver recoveries and validating the results at a larger scale to better define the project’s full economic potential.
